Each piece of jewelry is handmade and beautifully unique! Encased are real found objects or hand painted scenes in top quality resin and many include real crystals and gemstones.  Each little leaf, bone, or other object is individually embedded in layers of resin, then hand-cut and polished. Every painting or painted piece of jewelry is hand drawn in acrylic + ink using pens, brushes, and toothpicks by me!  They are all one of a kind and handmade with love in small batches. Keep in mind when ordering that there are always slight variations in shape, size, and color tone. I make every effort to preserve the feeling and design of the pieces pictured here in the shop. You can always be sure that your Fernworks art and jewelry is your very own and like no one else’s!

Fernworks pendants feature several types of chains: delicate sterling silver and varieties of antique brass. The chains are typically around 18” long, but some designs have longer options. If you need a shorter or longer chain, please indicate your preference in the comment section as you are checking out.  If you’d like to discuss a different cord or chain option, please contact me.

Most of the time, I have items that are in stock and ready to ship immediately! However, sometimes I create pieces as they are ordered. That’s why I’d allow up to 2 weeks for your order to ship. You should receive an email from me when your order has been shipped. If you need an item sooner than this or you need expedited shipping, please contact me before purchase to make arrangements.

I’m happy to issue refunds or exchange your Fernworks jewelry for another item within 14 days of purchase, or I can issue you a gift certificate to use as credit toward a future purchase! If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason or it arrives damaged, please just reach out to me with your order # and we'll figure out a solution!

Of course! Sometimes, things break. Hopefully this won’t happen, but in the unfortunate event that it does, I am happy to do repairs for free (within reason and on a case by case basis). If the repair is more extensive, I’ll charge a small repair fee.  It’s usually not very much though!  I can also adjust chain lengths, size up rings, re-polish scuffed/scratched pieces and more.

Often, I have items that are in stock here in the studio and ready to ship immediately! Though, more commonly, I create pieces as they are ordered. That’s why I’d allow 10-20 days for your order to ship. I typically work on orders as they come in over a period of a week or 2 then ship everything out a few times per month. If you need something sooner or over-nighted, please reach out before ordering and I’ll be happy to accommodate!

Your Fernworks jewelry needs little care.  I recommend cleaning them periodically by putting a drop or two of olive oil on the resin surface and wiping away with a soft cloth. Be gentle with the chain and avoid wearing while exercising or showering.  For the resin rings, avoid any product with acetone such as fingernail polisher remover. 

As for paintings, I recommend hanging in normal interior lighting, not in areas with direct and prolonged sunlight. Many organic objects and crystals can fade over time in sunlight.
